How can I tell my Mastodon server's version?
Mastodon servers display their version in the footer text that appears at the bottom of each page, when you view from the web.
In the above screenshot, the version of Mastodon.site's server is v4.2.6
.
The server version will be different from the version of any app(s) that you use with Mastodon. This updated release (and any security issues related to this version) only affect the server and do not mean you need to update any apps, however, we always advise to have automatic updates enabled on devices.
